Junior Olympic Training

Competition Team: Year round invitation-only competitive diving training on 1-meter and 3-meter springboard. Integrated gymnastic, acrobatic and diving training with the goal of USA Diving and AAU Regional, Zone and National competition. This group trains on trampoline, dry-diving board, 1-meter and 3-meter springboard.

Monday - Thursday evenings & Sunday mornings

Basic & Advanced Training

Basic and Advanced Training: Training groups focusing on 1-meter and in Advanced Training, some 3-meter springboard. Designed for summer league and high school divers, this is also a starting point for those who want to learn to dive. Held weekly at the McKay Natatorium in Fairfax, VA. 60 Minute classes with 10 minutes of dryland drills and 50 minutes of in-water training.

  • Kenny McAdoo

    Senior Coach

    Kenny McAdoo is a trusted long-time member of our diving community, and we are incredibly lucky to have him. He was a Division One Diver at West Virginia University, and has been the head diving coach of the Fairfax Frogs for 22 years and coached Fairfax High School for 15 years.

    Coach Kenny now serves as a professional educator in Fairfax County Public Schools and is also a licensed real estate agent.

  • Coach Regan Mooney

    Regan Mooney

    Basic and Advanced Training Coach

    Regan Mooney is an experienced diving instructor with an extensive background in diving and gymnastics. Regan has been coaching with the Nova Meteors since spring 2025, and is currently competing for George Mason University’s Division One diving program. In the summer, Regan coaches NVSL Divers at Mantua Swim Club.

  • Caden Guy

    Caden Guy

    Basic and Advanced Training Coach

    Caden Guy is a Division 1 NCAA diver with a rich background working with young divers. Beginning his diving career at the early age of 6, Caden was a dedicated NVSL diver at Highland Park. At this point he has coached for six seasons at Highland Park in the NVSL. Caden brings a lot of positivity and personality to the pool deck every practice.

Training Facilities

Nova Meteors train on the campus of George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. The Jim McKay Natatorium is an exceptional diving facility equipped with four one-meter springboards, and two three-meter springboards. On deck dryland equipment includes a 7 x 14 trampoline, dry diving board into 32 inch thick landing mat, and overhead harness for learning complex somersaulting skills.
